Having a good night’s sleep is actually one of many people’s favorite things to do. Moreover, it’s a sign that the following day is going to be good. One sign that you had a good night’s sleep is if you noticed that from the previous night, you drolled. Yes, drooling is somewhat kind of normal because it’s something that is uncontrollable. The Rapid Eye Movement (REM) phase is the unique phase of sleep that only mammals and birds. Based on its term, it is distinguished by the fast and random movement of the eyes. This phase occurs and takes up about 25 percent of our sleep cycles; it transpires about 70 to 90 minutes after we fall asleep.
Also, it is known that in this phase, we experience dreaming. So, when you drool while you sleep, it’s a good sign that your REM was a bit heavy and had a positive note on your sleep.
So, drooling might be a bit embarrassing and it can actually be a bit tedious (because you’d have to wash sheets every now and then), but it’s actually a good sign and indicator that you had a good night’s sleep.
